Congress!!!

I promised you an update, so here it is, even if it is a little late. As you already know, I went to NAYC this past week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We all had a blast, but we also had an awesome time in the Holy Ghost. There were over 22,000 Apostolic Pentecostals there for one reason: to worship God. I have some pictures then I will tell you what we learned about.

This was the theme.
This is inside the KFC Center. Over 22,000 people!!
This is my youth group at Project 22:39. We were picking up trash and clearing out a place for a new park!!
There were people being baptized in the swimming pools in the hotels!!
We had some awesome services!! This was Wednesday night.
NAYC13 Thursday Night
This was Thursday night. Bro. Gaddy talked about the heritage that Pentecostals have and how important it is to carry it on.

NAYC13 Friday Night
This was Friday night. Bro. Cortt Chavis talked about how ready the harvest is but how few the laborers are.

Wednesday was the official first day of NAYC. Once we registered, we headed for the hotels to get ready for church. Bro. Shay Mann talked about "Speaking For Yourself." We need to stand up for what we believe in. We can't let others dictate to us what we believe in and how we believe in it. That was a great opening to a fantastic week.

On Thursday, there was a JumpStart that got us awake and alert and then the General Session. Bro. David McGovern preached on "Above All, the Call". When you have a call of God on your life, it comes first. Everything must go by the wayside because God has called you to do a specific task for Him and through Him. As Bro. McGovern said, and I quote, "Don't let your calling die by the death of distraction. Nothing is worth missing your calling!" Whatever God has called you to, never let anything get in the way of that. That night, we had an awesome message by Bro. Tim Gaddy on "The Three Altars." (Exodus 20:22-24) The Altar of Marriage, The Altar of Heritage and The Altar of Supernatural Demonstration. It matters who we marry, he stated, because of the huge heritage we have. we cannot give up something that we didn't start! Young people need to find their spouses at the altar!!!

So now I come to the final day of NAYC. Friday. In the General Session, Bro. Maroney spoke on the "Day of Deliverance." When Jesus shows up, no matter what is holding you, it has to go!! He also spoke of the importance of commitment. If we are not 100% committed to God, then we will go nowhere when it comes to THE call and our walk with God. We MUST be committed!! In the Friday night service, we had an incredible move of God. Bro. Cortt Chavis preached "The Divine Balance Between The Fork and The Field." (John 4:5) You have good church, you shout and sing praises.... but what happens after church? Sitting at the table and eating all time, is not what God intended us to do. The harvest ready, but the laborers are very few. We need to get out into the field and start working!!! While we are working in the field, we just can't work all the time, we also must eat. That's where the "balance" comes in. We must go out and witness, but we also need to go to church and get refreshed and filled up again. As Bro. Chavis said, "You need to kick off your Toms and put on your Timberlands. You need to get rid of the suit and put on some overalls!" This movement is about more than just us. We need to get in the fields and start working!! This world is ready for Apostolic Pentecostals, but are we ready for them?

There were so many more sessions and such, I could go on forever! It was absolutely phenomenal, it was like nothing I have ever seen before. It was so awesome!!:)

Update, Coming Soon, Guest Posting

I went to NAYC last week and came home Saturday night. I will be telling you all about it soon, but I have to get pictures together. I had an awesome time and it was definitely life-changing. So besides that, there are a few changes that are about to happen. School will start tomorrow for me and I am sooo excited!! I will also be doing Bible Quizzing which I can't wait for.

Decisions, decisions, decisions. I just can't seem to decide. Should I do a new blog design or keep the one I have? If you think I should change it, do you have any ideas on a new design or know anybody that will help me with it for free?

A friend of mine went on a missionary trip to the Dominican Republic about a month ago and came back completely scalped. She was riding a go-cart and her knee-length hair got caught in the chain, pulling all her hair out along with her scalp. She has had two surgeries done, but is not doing very well. Please pray for her. She is in severe pain and has a 1% chance of growing her hair back. Her name is Milla, please keep her in your prayers.

Also, I would like to have some guest posters. I would just want you to introduce yourself, share your blog if you'd like and them pick something to talk about. Please keep your topic God-pleasing and no cursing or swearing. If anyone would like to do that, please email me at sabehow@gmail.com or leave a comment with your email. I will get back with you as soon as possible. Thanks!!!!

Broken Girl by Matthew West

This song is for the broken girls, the ones that don't have much and have been torn down by the world.  God loves all the broken girls and is VERY able to heal them and make them whole again.

Procrastination

On Friday, I was reading in Ecclesiastes and I found this verse: "He that observeth the wind shall no sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap." I had to read over this verse a couple of time because it kind of caught me off guard. I thought: I this saying what I think it is? I read this verse over and over. After doing a little bit of research, I confirmed what I thought. This verse is talking about procrastination. Sometimes we know we need to do something, but we don't really want to do it so we use the excuse of "Its not the right time." Or, "I have something more important to do." I do this ALL the time.

Sometimes my life feels like this^when procrastinate about something I know I should do. Especially when it comes to my relationship with God. I know should spend a little more time in prayer and put a little more effort into studying the Bible, but I just don't want to right now. If I keep putting it off and putting it off, it will eventually start to look like this^.

Lately, though, I have been better about not procrastinating. I am spending more and more time in God's Word and talking to Him instead of reading a book or watching videos on the internet. Do you have something that has needed to be done for a long time, but you don't want to do it?

Heading out for Congress!!

So, I'm heading out for Congress today. We are going to spend the day in St. Louis at Six Flags and then head over to Kentucky on Wednesday for Congress. There are going to be about 20,000 Apostolic Pentecostal young people there!! I am so excited!! I have never been to a big city like we are going to, so it will be a whole new experience for me. Please pray that we have a safe trip and that the power of God will work in everyone's lives.

Heading out...  Bye for now:)

August..

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HuXKBwYsESY/UBe8LwVtTPI/AAAAAAAACCA/gHyi1MPwt8g/s1600/hello+august.jpgIt's August. That means school. I don't want to spoil the rest of the summer for you guys, but I just have to say: I am SOOO ready for school to start!!

< This is me come August:)

I know, I know, that sounds weird, right? I mean because school means all those long algebra problems that take two pages to solve and endless hours of research for a 3-page essay. It means many sleepless nights cramming for an exam the next day.

School is stressful and hectic, but for some reason, I am counting down the days until school starts.

Sooo.. I don't know exactly when my school starts as I go to K12, an online school, and I haven't heard anything from them all summer. I am anxiously awaiting the day when I get an email saying what day I get to start school.

My school books came in the mail a few days ago and ever since then, I have been counting down the days. Are you dreading school or are you like me and can't wait for it to start?
