It's been forever since I've written, two years to be exact. I have a good excuse, I promise. Life has been super crazy for me. I'm working part time, finishing my last year of high school and am in my second year of Bible College. During the summer I spend my time working camps and going on mission trips. So yeah, I have had very little time to do anything else, but I have been loving every minute. My life is starting to slow down now that I am getting read to graduate in about a month. So here's a little something I wrote recently. I hope my fellow writers out there will appreciate it.
Everyone has a story to tell. It could be one of
tragedy or joy, life or death, truth or lies. The difference between these
stories is what defines us. There’s nothing in this world like seeing a
person’s life and cheering them on despite the details of their story. Once we
know a person, their hobbies, their likes, their dislikes, their personality,
their character; suddenly their story makes sense. Everyone you meet is afraid
of something, loves something and has, at one point or another, lost something.
Each person sees the world a little differently and yet we are all contributing
to a thing called life. Finding and listening to these stories is the beauty of
being a writer. We see the stories all around us. In today’s world, true
writers are nearly extinct. No one sees the beauty of an untold experience and
the lessons that soon follow. In a world where lines are being blurred and
black and white are turning to grey, it seems as if there is no one left to
clear the air. However, one thing people will never lose is their voice; their
story. That will live on into eternity and lead the way out of oblivion.

I'm Back With a Few Poems
I'm back fellow bloggers! I've been super busy with school, quizzing, Bible college and other things. But now summer is here and I have once again entered the world of blogging. So after being gone for six months, here are a couple poems I have written since school has been out. Enjoy!
The Cry of Humanity
Do
you hear that?
Strain
your ear to hear!
Do
you hear that?
It’s
the quiet hum
Of
a singing spirit
Strain
your ear to hear
What
is that ringing?
Is
it the joy of a soul?
Or
a skipping of a heart?
Is
it the cry of the unborn?
Or
the sweet laughter of a child?
Do
you hear that?
It’s
the cry of humanity
It’s
the tug of a skirt
It’s
the rumble of a stomach
Do
you hear that?
It’s
the world
The
hungry
Desperate
Fearful
Cry
Of
The
World
Fear
Fear
It is a brick wall in the
biggest city
It is a roadblock on the
most important journey
Fear
It is a sorrowful thought
in the happiest moment
It is hate toward the one
you love
Fear
It is a consuming fire in
the darkest forest
It is instinct in your
weakest moment
Fear
It cannot be blasted
through
It cannot be destroyed
Fear
It cannot be pushed away
It cannot be replaced
Fear
It cannot be watered down
It cannot be hindered
Fear
It can only be dealt with
and overcome
Fear

Rise Above
I wrote this little poem a few months ago, but I think it describes my New Year's Resolution perfectly.
Rise above
Your past mistakes
Rise Above
The pain of yesterday
Rise Above
And discover the freedom that lies beyond
Rise Above
The world’s standards
Rise Above
What others think
Rise Above
And discover the freedom that lies beyond
The hurt
The pain
The quilt
Beyond the past
Is a beautiful future
You can’t even begin to imagine
Rise Above
And be free
All those mistakes you made last year? All those fears that hold you back? Rise above them. This year, you are going to walk by faith with fearless determination.YOU ARE FREE!!!

He's Always On Time
He's Always On Time
Author: Me
Its not too late
Its not too early
Its right on time
Never doubt God when He's four days late
He's still the same
He's still on time
He knows what He's doing
Don't ever doubt
Keep trusting and believing
For God's never too late
And He's never to early
He's always right on time

Who You Are
For all the girls out there suffering from depression, self-esteem issues, guilt, and so on, this is for you.
I'll admit it, I shed a few tears... ok, maybe a lot of tears. No matter who you think you are, you are loved.
Remember, YOU ARE AWESOME!!! YOU ARE LOVED!!

You Were Born For This!!
This is one of my favorite songs.
Sometimes we wonder why we are where we are.
Or maybe we don't quite understand why God isn't opening a certain door for us.
What if God has us just where He wants us so that He can use us?
God is telling us, "You are right here for a reason. This moment, this point in life is what you were born for."
And even when we don't understand, sometimes we have to "stand apart from the crowd. Sometimes you gotta move when everybody else says you should stay."
"You were born for this!!"
No matter where you are or what you're going through, just remember, you were put there for such a time as this.
Take this opportunity to witness. Be a light to the world.
Be brave, be bold.
Stand up
And go uninvited.

The Calling
The Calling
By: Sara Howell
I feel you tugging, pulling
Ever so gently
What is this you say?
No, no. I am not made for that.
I hear you answer
Ever so softly
Yes, you are. I created you.
You are made for this purpose
And no other will do
I push You away
I am not ready for this
I hear You whisper
Ever so lightly
Yes, my child, you are
Mustard seed size faith is all I need
And your love for Me will get you through
You have been refined for many years
And now, you are ready.
I feel You tugging, pulling
Ever so gently
And I surrender
No more fear, no more doubt
I watch Your work
Forever awed
Forever surrendered
